Hello,
I have a RFE for my 485 according to the online status. My PD is current, and NSC's 485 processing time is now July 19, 07. My 485 RD was July 25, 07, so it is likely that they are working on adjudicating my case (and could have approved if there were no RFE).
I am still waiting for the RFE in the mail to know what it is exactly. But, assume that I fulfill their request and mail them the required items immediately, will I need to wait another 6 months before they check my RFE fulfillment? Or do they usually look at the RFE immediately (since they are already working on my case)...

October is usually a month where we see improvements as new visa numbers become available for a new fiscal year. Most categories showed forward movement though few jumps of more than a few months. The exception is the Mexico Family 1st category which jumps a year and a half. EB-3 is available again, but not set at a date particularly close. Most people will not be happy with the dates. I have exact opposite case. My 140 was approved at TSC. Lawyers sent 485 to NSC. I asked they said its ok. Since they sent copy of 140 with 485. You can file anywhere.

In the online AR 11 form there is one field called Port of entry and there is drop down box which has many items to select the port of entry. This drop down box has two items related to my port of entry.
MA- BOSTON
MA- LOGAN Airport
Are these really two different airports?
I entered US in the Boston Logan Airport (international airport). Which entry I need to select?

I would do it in 3DSMAX cuz in swift it's much harder to do it...

Interesting article....but no direct talk of H1-B or skilled worker immigration reforms etc.
The author of this article is Chris Isidore...I tried looking at the CNN site if there was a way of reaching him by email...but couldn't find any..
If we could get to him, maybe he would be willing to write a part 2 to this article highlighting the broken skilled worker immigration system..

Can you please explain why it is restrictive compared to H1B?
Are you telling it because of 2 year home residency rule and getting waivers?
I am thinking of it because of my job continuation and spouse and family. If there is any alternative please suggest.

First check if the check you or your company sent for H-1 fees got cashed , if so see behind the check ( normally banks post scanned copy of check ) the Receipt number will be written behind the check ..hope this helps

I had a 221g in 2000 and submitted all the docs. I got response in 2002 (After 2 years :eek:) . I had just 10 months left on my H1 that time. So we will never know. But situation in 2000 was different. I am not discouraging you but telling how hard these 221gs will be. I hope its not that bad these days and you may get response soon.

I was trying to find out if one can transfer from b1/b2 visa category to H1- B visa within the valid period of stay(i.e before the expiry of the I-94).
Go out of the country and come back in H1 status, provided you have a valid H1-B. (Can go to Canada also). Otherwise, too many hassles. (non-immigrant vs immigrant intent)

You read that correct. Your stay is legal until the decision on your case is done. It is nothing to do with your I94

Hello ,
My EB3- 485 is pending from June 07. I am on H-1 and my employer decided not to file 7 th year extension and asking me to use EAD.
If I change employer using EAD (AC21) , can new employer file GC in EB2 (EB3 priority date 2005) ( not H-1 transfer)
