Hi,
My scenarios is this:
> Got approved H1-B petition and visa stamped till 31st July, 2011
> Traveling to US on June-15, 2011
> Planning to do a premium filing for an H1 extension once I am in the US - i.e. soon after June 15, 2011
1. Is there any rule that I have to be in the US for 8 weeks or so to apply for an H1-B extension?
2. Will there be some issue at the port of entry as I will have only 6 weeks left on my H1-B visa?
Appreciate any inputs on this.

My wife and I got RFE on medical. Now I am sending response to RFE. Do I need to send the RFE response individually by FEDEX or Can I send both of us responses in one FEDEX package? Please advise. Thanks.

My wife couldn't get Xray on a failed TB skin test, because she was pregnant at the time we filed our 485. Our priority date will be current in August.
Should we wait for a RFE on her medicals? Or is it possible to go ahead and do it, and send an update to USCIS?

it may be possibal, but thats really pushing the limit of flash. I whoudnt reccomend trying it, but thats kinda up to you. You shouldnt even think about it unless your an expert at actionscripts..

Hello All,
I am starting my employment based GC process. My employer is going to file for my labour certificate (LC) thru PERM soon.
However, I want to know what happens if you Labour Application is not approved by USCIS?
like - Can you then apply for Labour thru another employer? or start ur Green Card process thru another employer.
- Can you get H1 extension after 6 year period is complete?

Need suggestion and advise. I recently moved to LA as i found a new job. I do have permanent home in chicago and i m planning to rent a place in LA. Do i need to call USCIS and update my address for I485 application? Is it ok to have my permanent address in chicago continue in I485 application? Please advise.

My I 485 package was returned as it didnt have the approval notice of I 140, which was submitted a day later than I485 by my company.
It is such a frustrating situation as i have been waiting since 1999 for my GC , and when i got this golden chance my company was not serious enuf to submit the papers in time !
I am doubting the company , as they would have done all this intentionally to keep me in their co. for longer time!The returned letter they have provided me shows no reference no, file no, or either my name ! how can i believe if they have even submitted any papers for I485 or not ?
They say they can refile again .. but duno what to do ??
Can anybody be kind enough to help me out here!
I am so frustrated that I feel like going back to home country now.

I applied for H -1 extension regular processing in the month of sept 2009 in california service centre before expiration date of my H1-B(2010 Jan 22).I got RFE on DEC 18th asking for client and contractual agreements between client and vendors and i got time til Jan 29th 2010 to reply back to RFE.As i was preparing to collect all the documents to respond to my RFE ,I also applied new H 1 from same existing employer before Jan22nd 2010 in Vermont service centre.I replied back to RFE on jan 27th 2010 with client letters and letters from 2 vendors.
I got my H 1-b extension approved from California service centre on Feb 18th 2010
My question is what if my new H1 filed in vermont service centre gets rejected.Will it cause any problems to the extension that was approved.I already got my h1-b extension approval notice from uscis on FEB 18th 2010.I have'nt heard anything about my new h1 b filed on jan 21 2010 in vermont service centre.Can i continue to work on my approved extension.

No worries. As you 140 was approved uscis gave 3year extension. It is not a mistake

I guess this has become typical of every lawmaker to say 'We need to reform ______', without initiating any action. So far health care, immigration, financial industry have gone in that blank, more to come..
Just like citizens criticize their governments, but when it comes to take action (cast their ballot atleast), they would choose not to.
