Hi there.....Even I want to find out if I-131 (AP) can be RENEWED without paying the fee when I-485 has been filed with the new fee structure. The USCIS site has not mentioned anything regarding the renewal fee for I-131 in this case (whereas it is clearly mentioned for the EAD). Is there anyone who can share his/her experience of AP renewal without paying the fee?

Hi everyone,
I have just received my H1-B, and I'm planning on a two week vacation back to my country.
I'm not on a good relationship with my company at the moment, and even if they granted my vacation, I'm afraid they might cancel my H1-B visa while I'm on a vacation overseas.
If they do, would I be not able to come back into US, or would they at least give me a few days to pack up my stuff?
Any advice and comments would be appreciated.

I had emailed the Murthy team on Friday. Today Mr Vasant Nayak from Murthy.com emailed me back with concerns since i had emailed him from yahoo and my name was not in the list of volunteers. I have given him Admin and Walden Pond's names and have emailed both Admin and Walden Pond to touch base with him.
Murthy is a BIG source of traffic. He did say Murthy wud have to look a lot into us to put a link on their website. I request someone from the Board to pls get in touch with Mr Vasant Nayak. If you need his email pls send me a private message (as i dont want him getting spammed) ;)

Hi,
My kid brother (15 years old and US Citizen) lives in India with my parents. They are quite elderly now to take care of him and we were thinking of bringing him to US legally to live with us. We want to adopt him so that he can have a good lifestyle here and have no issues legally in future. Is there anyone who has gone through similar case before ? Also, I wanted to ask if there are any attorneys that specialize in cases like these ? If so please let me know and I would like to hold a consultation asap.

Hi Friends,
Any way to expedite Indian Passport renewal in India. My wife applied the passport renewal in Chennai in Feb 2011. It is almost 3 months. Usually how long it will take ?. Is there a way to contact them to expedite the process.
I applied Tatkal passport renewal for my son in April 2011. It is a month now. Not received.
There is no enough information on whom to contact and how to expedite the service.:(

Hello,
I am on my OPT (started on 5th Jan 2009) currently and am working for a startup company. However, I am told that the company has funds only to support my position for another 2 months or so.
But the company is ready to sponsor my H1B for April 1st this year to help me keep my immigration status. My question is if my H1B application is approved this year but I loose the job before the H1B kicks in (1st October 2009) can the approved H1B be transferred to a new company, if I get another job?

My wife had misplaced her AP summer of last year when she was out of the country. She then entered back on Transportation letter however at poe the immigration officer assumed she was a resident misplaced her resident card and stamped her passport as LPR. Since her entry back in the summer of last year we have gained an extension of H4 status for 3 years. I am getting ready to file for a new AP and would like to know if I should writeH4 as her "Class of Submission" or LPR or AP

I am not sure what is so important in this to answer.
As long as thay had sent the finger prints to you, you should be OK. There is no particular pattern in which they send the EAD cards. So, no body can answer your question about when will you get the EAD. Just pray and watch. If it is more than 90 days since you have applied for your EAD, then you may contact your local office to expedite the process.

Hi, I need your expertise, please help me. Following is my situation.
My EB3 labor priorty date was June 2003 was in pending, later same company filed in EB2 and I 140 got approved in Dec 2005.
I filed I 485 application in july 2007 and I applied in so hurry, I forgot to send a copy of I 140 approval as part of 485 filing. I got all the receipt notices.
My EB3 labor got approved before my 485 filing and I140 got approved this month
I would like to port the EB3 priority date. Please input your suggestions.

I have B1 visa and and right now I am in US on client support.
I want to get into a College for further studies for which I am unaware of the legal formalities to be completed.
I already have a letter of internship with a US company and the college is giving me a letter for change of status i-20.
As far as the immigration goes for change of status of visa, it says that I need to go out of the country and then come back, with stamped as 'intent to study'. So is it really required?
However still it is confusing for me as to what other formalities are to be completed regarding the same.
