I was laid off and since then I have been receiving my unemploment insurance from state of texas. I have my EAD and have been actively looking for a job. Now there is a family emergency and I have to go to india. Is it legal to claim my employment insurance from india? Will there be any problem if I claim my benefits from india?

I understand they are forwarding some appls to Texas from Nebraska.
And Texas is much faster.
I got to know from my attorney that, USCIS has my I 140 information in their system and they gave him a receipt number. But, the receipt is not generated yet. It may take a week or so to get the receipt. My appl was filed on 12th and it reached NSC on 13th.
I checked the status online with this receipt # and online status shows that they recieved the aplication on 19th and its at Texas center. May be my appl was moved to Texas now.

I told her my personal experience: came 10 years ago, worked 5 years, approved I-140 2 years ago, stuck in the queue, working as a scientist at Stanford University, and can not apply fund and have difficulty attending international conference. She asked the state I am from. I strongly urge TX members to call. It is very easy.

I called couple of Desi consultancies..and they told me that lot of thier I-140's aqre getting rejected in this conversion drama...since they are looking for finanacials of the companies and looking for $3 mil of profits..? well do you have anybody who successfully converted from Eb-2-3 please IM me which companies I could contact...

Iam sorry to say that i could not navigate to certain forum postings and IV did not communicate that these are not availabe for Non - Donors.... Why this caste system?

I am so sorry that IV did not inform you about Donor forum. I will check with IV on why you were not notified earlier. This is clearly unacceptable. IV core should give up their jobs and should start going door to door to inform everyone about IV's goals, strategies and changes to policies.

My case with PD of Aug 2002( EB3) was stuck at PBEC until May 23, 2007. PBEC had closed my case multiple times, and had to really fight to get it reopen and finally certified. I have sent emails to Sec. of Labor ( Elaine Chao) twice. Her office was helpful in opening my case. I got reply from her office within a month too. Also, I mailed senators too. Try to talk to senators from your states. I know and understand the pain of you guys, whose cases are stuck at BECs. Personally, I feel that you guys should mail Sec. of Labor, and let her have the attention of these cases. This is really injustice!

Just because some people are not accepting others views they cannot tell their view is correct. This is a Forum and opposite views should also be tolerated. Then there is no need for Forum or Forum rules can tell that only certain messages are allowed. It is upto anyone to accept or deny others views.
Democrats will hopefully move in the right direction.

i would like to move away from the focal issue of rally participation for a moment- only to broaden the question. yes i perfectly realize that there are many motivated members that had genuine compulsions of various kinds that did not allow them to consider being in DC. i could be one of them tomorrow. i also know that they are not the majority of non attendees. still, to again answer a previous question, 2,000 registrations was a pretty good number from a crowd that likes things handed out to them. my question though is related to other iv activities. going to a rally is a bigger decision, true. so how many of those who are espousing moralistic platitudes about "cheapening" and "not associating real people with userid's" or blaming chandu's words have participated in other actions? have you joined a state chapter? are you active in it? did you attend a meeting if you belong to an active chapter? if you have no chapter did you volunteer to start one? did you volunteer for pre rally activities? have you met your local lawmaker?
i could go on, but those are key questions. those who complain about trivia need to step up and show their own commitment. the way of this country is to petition government by lobbying your lawmakers. nothing cheap about that one. in fact it's an incredible experience, open and educational to say the least.
you and i do not participate in these things because "he said and she said', we do it for ourselves. please always remember that. set aside egos for a larger motive and see if it feels good....
for days i bumped the state chapters thread up with minimal response. here was an opportunity to meet others like you and plan these meetings together. what's the good reason for that apathy?
the window is not closed. this is a long journey. i urge you to join your chapters or to create one. you will find it a rewarding experience..

Don't waste time by calling National Call service center. They all are dumb !! They don't know anything. They just read the on line status of our case, which 8 year kid can do.
According to the first guy I talked to, one has already been assigned upon the start of processing of the case.
I just called again and the lady was completely clueless about the whole July 2 fiasco. I will try again in another hour and hopefully I won't get the village idiot again.
For anyone interested in calling themselves here is the info: 1-800-375-5283 options 1, 2, 3 (and possibly 6 after that-I can't remember).

EAD is free only for post July 30-2007 filers. We are their forever cows, they'll milk us as far as they can. Otherwise somebody tell me why 2 year EAD why not 3, why not 2 year AP, why june 30 for 2 years EAD why couldn't they do it with immediate effect or may be 1 week from announcement. They just bought more time to process everything with 1 year

1. WHY DIDNT YOU UPDATE TO PERM LABOR WHILE RETAINING PRIORITY DT
2. DID YOU CONSIDER RIR AND REGUALR CASES DIFFERENCES WHEN ARE SUEING FOR FIFO
3. DID YOU FIND PEOPLE FROM THE SAME COMPANY WITH DIFFERENT FILING DATES APPOVED NEW AHEAD OF OLD FILING DATE( THIS WOULD GIVE YOU A STRONG REASONING WHEN YOU WANT TO SUE). COMPANYS PROFILE CAN INFLUENCE A LOT ON DECISION MAKING EX.. MICROSOFT VS DESI COMPANY.

How can you say there is no stress for the person working at home, raising the family?
The poor H1 soul is constantly over-stressed as he is supporting a spouse and a child or even two children.
Imagine how the H4 spouse feels...he/she cannot do a thing to alleviate frustrations of his loved ones as her hands are tied..
I deeply care for my husband and I had lived through some agonizing days in the past when he was out of work, without salary etc..knowing how much he is in pain himself as everyone and everything depends on him, literaly....
We will be moving away soon 'cause we care too much for each other's happines to continue to live in the circumstances where we only suffer ...
