You stand a better chance of getting it through your kids if they are citizens than getting it through EB3. There are a few options to get green card faster. Canada is not one of them.
1. Get a Ph.D, get a job in a univ and apply in EB-1.
2. Get a MBA and get a management job and apply in EB-1.
3. Become a religious worker in some temple and apply in the religious worker category.

I'm still wishing (and i'll be honest) USCIS come up with a reason/regulation/rule that will delay EAD for everyone until BEC people are able to file 485 OR in Oct they retrogress only till March 2005
This is not how you should have said, delay EAD for others just because people are struck at BEC. Comeon buddy show some wisdom, you should have said USCIS come out with a plan where as soon as BEC labor is cleared, they accept the applications for 485.
Most people showing their cool wisdom still not getting the point. A BEC person with Feb 2005 PD may not be able to file for another 2 years while a PD 2007 person will be enjoying EAD during that time. In my dictionary this is injustice. And that's why i was kinda happy when they updated the July bulletin, now I'm not really happy even if my company has already filed my 485/EAD on july 2. I'm still wishing (and i'll be honest) USCIS come up with a reason/regulation/rule that will delay EAD for everyone until BEC people are able to file 485 OR in Oct they retrogress only till March 2005.
P.S. if you are superstitious, you want to know this: most of my relatives/freinds call me "Black Tongue" because usually when i say something unpleasent it happens. e.g. i told my wife last month that i don't believe everyone is able to file 485, something will go wrong and everyone will be disappointed. Yes that is true. They are lobbying strongly for H1b though they are supporting GC increases. Actually with H1b you can stay unlimited years if you apply gc. So there is no urgency for corporations to resolve the issue. They do not have fear of losing you as you are going to stay in USA until you get green card
I don't think the tech companies are lobbying (strongly enough, if at all) for EB GCs. They are happy as long as H1 quota is increased which I think they will get in one form or the other.

Guys wait till you see "real" bulletin and even if mirror to what has been placed to Mumbai Consulate, EB3 will forward perhaps slowly now but picking up. EB3-India with PD 2004 mid and before will not have to worry that much.
BharatPremi -- On what basis are you saying that? There are 1000s and 1000s of L1 VISA holder from India....there are at least 30,000 H1-B that come from India every year, most of them file under EB-3 category and then have wives and kids and they consume visa number.
I think EB-3 India will never move forward. I would love to know the reason behind what you just said about EB-3

I sent my EAD paper file on 29th May to TSC. I received my EAD's today for 1 year. Cutoff date for 2 year is 30th june.

All fair arguments. I went through similar emotions, but I tend to agree with Alias. It is best to correct if there was any error.
In my case, all I got was the Welcome letter and then a temporary I-551 stamp. The officer at InfoPass told me that it was approved and he was going to order the plastic card ,and there is no sign of it yet. Of course, it is their mistake that I am not able to renew my EAD since my status on their system is permanent resident. I wanted to renew EAD when it was about to expire a few months ago, but there is no place in the form to write in a PR status (and, of course, that would have been strange as well). So, I expect them to make amends for their mistake. Ideally, they should pay for my $2,500 attorney fees as well, but I guess, that is too much to hope for! I honestly had completely stopped tracking the visa bulletin and this was an unwanted reminder of how sorry the state of legal immigration is.
I still don't know what had happened and that is what I am trying to find out. May be, mine was correctly approved!

First - EB2s stop replying posts that were written in frustration and you understand why, They will not affect and take away your GC. Since you are not frustrated you have to start first.
Second - EB3s - Frustration will never bring you anything and you can not move PD faster. Instead capatialize the situation that EB2s are getting GC. How you have to think and focus.
I can give my example. I made network of some who got GC and have some influence in recruiting. After working 9 years for a big Pharma and got layed off, My one buddy got GC long back in EB2 , helped me and received job through him though I have to drive 220miles everyday.
Am I frustrated yes!! More than anybody else here but has to calm down and think positivily.
Hope my post will help you to reduce some frustration.

I agree CIR will be modified but our EB reliefs (for existing EB applicants) are not controversial (ilegal immigration reliefs and H-1B increase are the most controversial), right?
I hope there would be some form of CIR with EB reliefs that both Dems and President would agree on.
